Statesboro, Ga., Jan. 5, 2022 – Low Country Cancer Care (LCCC), is pleased to announce the opening of their new cancer center in Statesboro, Ga., located at 1601 Fair Road, Suite 900. This new clinic is the fifth LCCC location, making it easier for patients to have access to the highest quality cancer care close to where they live.

CPAN is a national advocacy organization committed to raising awareness of independent, community cancer care and the issues that affect it. CPAN plays a vital role in advocating for patients making sure cancer care is affordable and accessible in the communities where they live.

Fort Myers, Fla., Nov. 19, 2021 – The team of nine medical, surgical and radiation oncologists from Summit Cancer Centers (Summit) welcome Dr. Jing Li Huang to the community oncology practice. Summit, an American Oncology Network, LLC (AON) partner, has eight locations, serving patients in eastern Washington and Idaho.

Dr. Huang is seeing patients in the Spokane Valley, Wash. and Post Falls, Idaho locations. She is Board certified in General Surgery and Board eligible in Complex Surgical Oncology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, after which she completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Minnesota and specialized training in complex surgical oncology from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Huang is skilled in the most advanced treatments, including minimally invasive cancer surgery using the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system.

with the Addition of Desert Hematology Oncology

The community-based practice joined AON effective Nov. 8, 2021 and is now the third practice in Arizona to partner with AON.

of Business Development

In his role, Misitis will oversee business development with a primary focus on driving new relationships with providers to join the AON network. In addition to developing and executing plans to grow new business, Misitis will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing practices to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Misitis brings over 25 years in sales and business development, along with extensive experience in the physician practice management arena. Most recently he held a leadership position at AmerisourceBergen Oncology Supply, where he was instrumental in significant revenue growth and led critical positioning and sales generation exceeding topline growth of 10% and increasing gross profit by 17% year over year on $7.8B in sales.

In addition to his 13 years tenure with Oncology Supply, he spent 12 years prior with Johnson & Johnson Ortho Biotech serving oncology physician practices in several key roles. Rapidly advancing as part of the leadership team for PROCRIT®, a prescription medicine used to treat anemia, Misitis was responsible for the development and execution of strategies and tactics for sales in community oncology centers plus the long-term care market throughout eight states within the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern regions.

Misitis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
