American Oncology Network Physicians Research is Well Represented at the ASH Annual Meeting & Exposition

Fort Myers, Fla., Dec. 16, 2021 – American Oncology Network, LLC (AON) is pleased to announce that eight research studies co-authored by AON physicians were presented at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting & Exposition, held December 11-14, 2021.

Abstracts submitted for oral and poster presentations at the ASH annual meeting represent important, novel research in the field and are considered the best of the thousands of abstracts submitted. Typically, more than 5,000 scientific abstracts are submitted each year and more than 3,000 are accepted for oral and poster presentations through an extensive peer review process.

Dr. Tong earned his medical degree from West China University of Medical Science and then pursued a PhD in biomedical sciences from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He completed two research fellowships in stem cell and leukemia and a fellowship in hematology and oncology from the University of Washington.

Phoenix, Ariz., Nov. 23, 2021 – Cancer & Blood Specialists of Arizona (CBSA), a partner practice of American Oncology Network, LLC (AON) launches a new chapter of the Community Oncology Alliance Patient Advocacy Network (CPAN).

CPAN is a national advocacy organization committed to raising awareness of independent, community cancer care and the issues that affect it. CPAN plays a vital role in advocating for patients making sure cancer care is affordable and accessible in the communities where they live.

Dr. Huang is seeing patients in the Spokane Valley, Wash. and Post Falls, Idaho locations. She is Board certified in General Surgery and Board eligible in Complex Surgical Oncology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, after which she completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Minnesota and specialized training in complex surgical oncology from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Huang is skilled in the most advanced treatments, including minimally invasive cancer surgery using the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system.

of Business Development

Misitis brings over 25 years in sales and business development, along with extensive experience in the physician practice management arena. with the Addition of Pinal Cancer & Surgery Center

Already accredited with ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) and URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission), the addition of the NABP accreditation makes three pharmacy accreditations in total, well above industry standards.
